To avoid fines, DO NOT enter the historic center of Alghero or Olbia ( limited traffic zone-to ZTL), where poorly marked signage assures hefty fines (In particular, cameras are located in Piazza Sulis and Via Simon)

Pay attention to pedestrians on the streets that line the historic part of the city, particularly Via Vittorio Emanuele, Via La Marmora, Via XX Settembre and Via Sassari.
